A diverse background in media and law

Carly has a strong foundation in First Amendment and intellectual property law, having served as a Summer Fellow with the Cornell University First Amendment Clinic, where she trained journalists and contributed to key litigation efforts. Her First Amendment research was also published in the Michigan Journal of Law Reform during law school. Her extensive media experience, gained through prior work as a journalist for a global news network, informs her strategic approach to legal research, writing and advocacy. Additionally, Carly has worked in the University of Michigan Environmental and Human Trafficking legal clinics, further expanding her litigation skills across multiple areas of law.
