About Catherine E. O'Brien

Katie O'Brien focuses her practice on general litigation and dispute resolution matters involving major corporations, as well as midsize companies. She also works on intellectual property litigation matters, including defamation and trademark disputes.

Helping make equal access to justice a reality

Prior to joining Katten, Katie served as a Public Interest Law Initiative (PILI) Fellow at Lawyers for the Creative Arts, where she assisted artists in the Chicago area with a wide variety of legal issues. Katie now serves on the associate board for the Lawyers for the Creative Arts.

During law school, Katie served as an editor for the Vanderbilt Journal of Entertainment & Technology Law and an officer of the Entertainment and Sports Law Society. She also participated in an externship at Volunteer Lawyers and Professionals for the Arts where she helped represent emerging artists in Nashville.
