Crain's New York Business Honors Louise Carroll on 2023 Notable Women in Law List

New York partner Louise Carroll, Affordable Housing and Community Development co-chair, was named among the Crain's New York Business 2023 Notable Women in Law, which recognizes "women at the pinnacle of their profession whose impact radiates well beyond the clients they serve."

Louise was one of 100 lawyers selected for the list and is being honored for her advocacy, leadership and decades spent working with government entities to help clients navigate financial and legal hurdles in the affordable housing industry, particularly in New York. Currently, she is a board director for Breaking Ground, a nonprofit social services organization that creates permanent and transitional housing for the homeless, as well as a board member for the Community Preservation Corporation and the New York State Association for Affordable Housing.

Prior to joining Katten, Louise served as commissioner of the New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development to help guide the design and implementation of the city’s Mandatory Inclusionary Housing program. She was also named a National Law Journal "Real Estate Trailblazer" in 2022.
