Chicago Volunteer Legal Services (CVLS) has released its 2024 Honor Roll, recognizing Insolvency and Restructuring Associate Robin Evans for her work as guardian ad litem and representing special immigrant juveniles in collaboration with the National Immigrant Justice Center (NIJC). CVLS notes Robin is "a powerhouse volunteer for both CVLS and the NIJC on our Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS) programs."
"Robin is a go-to attorney for urgent SIJS cases, as she is always able to move quickly and efficiently to help immigrant youth obtain this life-changing benefit before they age out of eligibility," CVLS noted, adding that she "has accepted numerous cases in collar counties, navigating on her own unfamiliar clerks' offices, courthouses, and procedures to get the job done."
With its honor roll, CVLS recognizes volunteers who have distinguished themselves in providing pro bono services to low-income clients. The honorees will be celebrated during its annual Law & Disorder event on June 6.
