Derivatives and Futures Law Winter Committee Meeting 2025

Partner and Co-Chair of Financial Markets and Regulation Carl Kennedy will serve as the conference co-chair of the ABA's Derivatives and Futures Law Winter Committee Meeting 2025, January 30–February 1. Kennedy will interview CFTC Commissioner Kristin N. Johnson during a fireside chat, Friday, January 31.

Other Katten participants include Daniel Davis, Partner and Co-Chair, Financial Markets and Regulation, who will participate on the Administrative Law Challenges panel, discussing several Supreme Court and federal district court cases that have a profound impact on administrative law.

Additionally, Christian Kemnitz, Partner and Chair, Financial Markets Litigation and Enforcement, will participate on an Enforcement panel, discussing recent CFTC enforcement matters, staff guidance, trends and priorities.

The three-day conference will offer key insights and lively in-person discussions on the regulatory challenges, evolving case law, and emerging trends shaping the futures and derivatives markets.
