Laura and partner Ken Davis will present a think tank at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, March 3. The session will focus on practical risk-minimization strategies for internal and government investigations and self-disclosures. Laura and Ken will cover how a health care provider can minimize the likelihood of becoming an investigation target through sound compliance policies, auditing procedures and internal investigation protocols. They also will address what to do if the government comes knocking, including the execution of an emergency response plan, data preservation and effective interface with enforcement agency officials. Laura and Ken will additionally discuss the various channels for self-disclosures, their pros/cons and strategies for minimizing penalties.
