Intellectual Property Partner and Trademark, Copyright, and Privacy Co-Chair Floyd Mandell will participate in "Law and Policy | ADR: Preparing to Successfully Mediate an IP Dispute (and Avoiding the Pitfalls!)" at 11:15 a.m. on Sunday, May 18. In the session, brand owners and mediators will exchange ideas and share their insights on how to successfully resolve intellectual property (IP) disputes outside of court, while averting the inherent challenges of alternative dispute resolution. Speakers will focus on the critical step of preparing in advance of the mediation, including choosing the materials to be submitted to the mediator, and managing the client's expectations. The panel will also address strategizing possible outcomes such as non-monetary solutions and the potential for coexistence.
Additionally, during the INTA Annual Meeting, the Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee will hold their annual meeting on Monday, May 19, during which Floyd will be recognized as one of three High-Performing Committee Members.
