Recognizing the unprecedented public health crisis India is facing due to COVID-19, Katten is proud to join forces with our long-term pro bono client, Airlink. Airlink is a rapid-response humanitarian relief organization that connects airlines and pre-qualified nonprofits to help communities in crisis. Washington, DC managing partner and Aviation Finance chair Timothy Lynes is pleased to have represented Airlink on a pro bono basis since 2010.

As of May 18, India's total virus cases since the pandemic began swept past 25 million. The country registered more than 260,000 new cases and a record 4,329 fatalities in the past 24 hours. Health care providers in the region face a lack of oxygen concentrators, ventilators, medications, vaccines PPE and diagnostic tests. Those who are not able to get limited hospital beds are suffering in the streets.

In an effort to help the millions currently suffering in India, Katten is joining forces with Airlink to raise funds to help support Operation Airlift India and Asia Pacific in a 1:1 matching campaign of up to $5,000.
