(CHICAGO) Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP announced today that John P. Huang, a partner in the Commercial Finance practice, was selected to be a member of the 2017 class of Fellows, participating in a landmark program created by the Leadership Council on Diversity (LCLD) to identify, train and advance the next generation of leaders in the legal profession.
"This is a great honor for John," said Katten's Chief Diversity Officer Leslie D. Minier. "He joins a select group of experienced attorneys from diverse backgrounds who have been recognized for their potential as leaders in their organizations."
Huang represents senior secured and mezzanine lenders and administrative agents, private equity sponsors, and corporate borrowers in connection with secured and unsecured cash flow and asset-based credit facilities across a broad range of industries, including health care, fintech and other specialty finance. His work also spans a wide variety of deals from single lender financings of early-stage, to emerging growth companies and syndicated credit facilities, with an emphasis on leveraged buyouts and other acquisition financings.
According to LCLD President Robert J. Grey, Jr., the LCLD Fellows Program offers participants "an extraordinarily rich year of relationship-building, in-person training, peer-group projects and extensive contact with LCLD's top leadership."
Founded in 2009, LCLD is a growing organization of more than 260 corporate chief legal officers and law firm managing partners who are personally committed to creating a more diverse and inclusive legal profession. The LCLD Fellows program, which has trained more than a thousand mid-career attorneys since 2011, is one of LCLD's most important initiatives.
