Corporate managing partner of the Dallas office Mark Solomon was named by D CEO to the Dallas 500 as one of the most powerful business leaders in north Texas in 2021. Dallas 500 is a special edition produced by D CEO that celebrates the most influential leaders in north Texas across various industries and is based off months of research, interviews and conversations with high-level business contacts in Dallas.
Mark joined Katten in 2018 as the managing partner of its new Dallas office and a small Corporate practice of seven attorneys that has since grown to more than 40 attorneys. He has more than 30 years of experience in corporate law and is known for being accessible to his clients with a detail-oriented and hands-on approach to their legal problems.
At the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic this year, the Dallas office moved to the PwC Tower in Dallas, occupying a more innovative and environmentally friendly space with wider halls and retractable glass that has provided greater flexibility and been a benefit for social distancing. Mark has also been instrumental in helping to nurture the growth and success of the Dallas office, which has increased its annual revenue by more than 40 percent since opening, acquires top legal talent, and in 2019 was named among the top 50 law firms by The Texas Lawbook.
Mark is involved with the Dallas Bar Association, American Bar Association and Attorneys Serving the Community, and has provided legal commentary about emerging trends and issues in mergers and acquisitions to top legal publications such as Texas Lawyer, Law360 and Bloomberg Law. In November, Mark was named to Texas Lawyer's 2020 list of Texas Trailblazers.
