Matthew Sperry, US International Private Wealth partner based in London, was recently quoted in an article on TheTimes.com on the impact of the end of the resident non-domicile tax regime on UK businesses.

While many businesses are now considering focusing outside the United Kingdom, Matthew offered perspective on how tax and legal advisers view the United Kingdom.

"Most of my clients are outside the United States, and London's a great place to sit for what I do because it's such a hub of international private wealth," Matthew said.

"I do wonder what the UK private client industry looks like more than five years from now, because you have a lot of great lawyers and great firms who have built huge practices based upon international wealth. When those people aren't coming to the UK anymore, what's going to happen to that practice?"
