Private Wealth Partner and Head of Katten's New York Private Wealth Department, Ronni Davidowitz was recently featured in a Citywealth Leaders List Q&A.
The discussion covered Ronni's perspectives on the most important skills for an estate planning attorney, trends she’s noticing among her clients and highlights of her work.
In addition to leading legal skills, Ronni pointed out that estate planning attorneys should be "empathetic and responsive, listen attentively and communicate clearly."
Ronni also stated that the constant evolution of tax law impacts her practice and her clients. "There is no such thing as a permanent tax law and time and again, we have seen challenges as both estate planners, such as myself, and clients grapple with potential changes in the estate, gift and income tax area and attend to timely planning, mindful of any potential changes."
While reflecting on the elements of her work she values, Ronni shared, "What I enjoy about my role is the opportunity to guide associates and junior partners to reach the next step of their careers, as well as the personal interaction with clients and the satisfaction I get in providing assistance and support to families, often during emotional times."
