Two Katten attorneys will participate in UT Law's 33rd Annual Health Law Conference, taking place on April 7–8. On Thursday, April 7, Health Care senior counsel Missy Apodaca will moderate the "2022 State and Federal Healthcare Legislative Landscape" at 8:30 a.m. Panelists will discuss the 2022 election cycle and health care regulatory and legislative hot topics at the Texas and Washington, DC levels.
On Friday, April 8, Health Care practice national chair Lisa Atlas Genecov will moderate the "Getting Private Equity and Hospital Physician Deals Done During the Pandemic and Beyond..." panel discussion at 8:00 a.m. Panelists, who represent and work with hospitals and private equity firms, will discuss how the pandemic has influenced changes in the landscape, dynamics and pace of physician practice acquisitions; as well as compare and contrast the different approaches to physician practice transactions and the regulatory and other trends that they see impacting the health care M&A outlook post-COVID.
