Adam Klein, Co-Chair of the firm’s Sports Law and Sports Facilities Practice, was profiled in an article in Illinois Super Lawyers on the intersection of his law practice and his interest in sports. Mr. Klein serves as outside counsel to, among other teams, the Chicago White Sox and Chicago Bulls, and as a close advisor to their owner, Jerry Reinsdorf. Although his primary focus is securities law, Mr. Klein calls his work in the Sports Practice “a happy coincidence.” He enjoys working with owners and seeing the results of his work in the stadium. “These are big businesses, and it is a significant revenue source for franchises. They have large operating expenses with big player contracts and the like. So it's sports, but it's business. You just need to make sure you do it in a way that maintains a positive image for the fans,” Mr. Klein says. (“America’s Favorite Pastimes,” 2009)
