W. Kenneth Davis, a partner in the Firm’s Health Care Practice, was quoted in a recent article on radiology industry Web site, AuntMinnie.com, on the broad nature of Maryland’s self-referral laws which virtually ban non-radiologists from referring for in-office imaging. In the article, Mr. Davis notes that rather than addressing the system created by self-referral incentives, self-referral laws only address the surface of the issue (“Stark, raving mad? Physicians say Maryland’s self-referral laws too broad,” January 15, 2008).
