Health Care attorney Ramana Rameswaran is the 2022 recipient of the Emerging Young Lawyers in Healthcare Award, presented by the American Bar Association Health Law Section.

The award celebrates lawyers who exemplify a broad range of achievement, vision, leadership, and legal and community service in health law. Ramana received the award on Thursday, April 28, during the Emerging Issues in Healthcare Conference in Miami.

Ramana is an associate based in Washington, DC, where he advises healthcare providers in private equity, M&A, regulatory and compliance matters. He possesses a deep understanding of the healthcare industry. As a onetime EMT and med school student, he has a practical appreciation for how healthcare intersects with the law and law practice. Ramana also is active in professional development circles, serving in a variety of leadership roles including as co-chair of the ABA Business Law Section’s Health Law and Life Sciences Committee. In addition, he received an ABA Presidential Appointment to the Council for Diversity in the Educational Pipeline.

Ramana, well versed on novel regulatory issues, is a frequent presenter on the topic of health law regulatory and operational topics.
