When asked about the most important issue facing the region, Amanda focused on affordable housing. "We have all seen the boom in multifamily projects around the city," she said, "which is great. However, this has been at the expense of more affordable housing options." The publication also recognized Amanda's current civic and volunteer activities, which includes her pro bono work to assist an epileptic child with obtaining a service dog. "It is so rewarding to know that I am doing something to help this child and his family."
