About Andrew Prunty

Andrew Prunty focuses his practice on sophisticated estate and tax planning for high-net-worth individuals and families. He also helps to advise clients on family wealth preservation and transfer planning, business succession planning, estate and trust administration, and charitable planning.

Always thinking outside the box to champion intricate tax matters

Andrew creates and implements plans that transfer wealth in a manner that is tax-efficient and in line with clients' objectives, and that assist clients with business succession planning and the management and protection of their assets. He has experience utilizing sophisticated estate planning strategies and structures for these purposes. Andrew's practice also includes helping to advise clients with the formation and ongoing administration of charitable entities.

Prior to Katten, Andrew worked for a nationwide law firm and previously clerked in the US District Court for the District of Minnesota. He is also a retired Army officer.

Andrew is passionate about his pro bono work, which includes contributing to a medical-legal partnership clinic, actively participating in the Federal Bar Association Pro Se Project, and serving as a mentor to veterans involved in the criminal justice system.
