Joshua Wayser, managing partner of the firm's Los Angeles office and member of the Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice, was appointed to serve as a judge for the Los Angeles County Superior Court by Governor Jerry Brown. The article highlights how Josh, a "banking and real estate pro," has been a managing partner at Katten since 2011 and has advised lenders, financial institutions, developers and property owners in workouts, foreclosures, bankruptcy, purchase and sale disputes, and other matters.
Josh is co-chair of Katten's LGBT Coalition and is a nationally recognized speaker on diversity issues in the legal profession and workforce. He also lectures frequently on issues of creditors' rights, real estate and lender liability litigation and has been a presenter at the annual meetings of the State Bar of California, as well as various continuing education seminars.
