Global Restructuring Review has recognized Katten in its 2022 edition of the GRR 100, which is a comprehensive guide to "the world's leading law firms for cross-border restructuring and insolvency matters." The recognition marks the second consecutive year in which Katten has been named to the prestigious annual guide.
Katten's Insolvency and Restructuring practice, which is headed by co-chairs Steven Reisman and Peter Siddiqui, consists of a well-integrated team of approximately 30 attorneys practicing throughout the United States and around the world. In an in-depth profile of the practice, Global Restructuring Review featured several recent additions to the team, including US-based partner Peter Knight and associate Ashley Rona Chase, as well as the recent return of partner Cindi Giglio. Partner Sonya Van de Graaff also joined the UK-based practice, which first launched with the hire of partner Prav Reddy several years ago.
Highlighting the history and breadth of the Insolvency and Restructuring team's transatlantic practice, Global Restructuring Review offered a snapshot of the team's leadership, network of offices and diverse client base. The profile underscored the wide scope of the practice, observing that Katten attorneys work with "[e]veryone across the insolvency spectrum, but especially financial institutions and lending groups, in both complex bankruptcy proceedings and out-of-court restructurings." Several notable client representations, including cases that were handled before and during the relevant research period, were also featured in the profile.
The 2022 edition of the GRR 100, which was based on nearly 12 months of research by Global Restructuring Review, covered 153 law firms from 38 jurisdictions. Global Restructuring Review is a news and analysis service on cross-border restructuring and insolvency law.
