Ife Benjamin concentrates his practice on litigation with a particular focus on white collar and internal investigations. He has experience in navigating clients through government inquiries, investigations, prosecutions, and trials. Ife approaches client relationships with a keen focus on what the client wants and how he can deliver them tailored solutions.

Keenly aware of clients' problems and poised to deliver solutions

As a former district court clerk, Ife is keenly positioned to assist clients in navigating all phases of litigation from pre-trial issues through trials. Ife regularly drafts briefs and motions, and assists in government presentations. Ife is an effective communicator and can sift through information to get to the core issues. His experience as a federal district clerk, who participated in and observed trials, makes Ife well-positioned to assist clients in civil and criminal proceedings. His clerkship experience also allows Ife to anticipate what a judge needs to reach a resolution. Ife regularly assists and delivers favorable results for clients facing inquiries, investigations, and prosecution from the Department of Justice (DOJ), Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) and other agencies. Ife further devotes his practice to assisting clients in navigating complex commercial disputes. Though Ife recognizes the importance of lawyering skills, he also places a value in developing interpersonal skills which requires him to compassionately counsel clients through difficult times.

Prior to joining Katten, Ife served as a law clerk to the Honorable Zahid N. Quraishi of the US District Court, District of New Jersey. During law school, Ife was the editor-in-chief of the Seton Hall Legislative Journal. He was also a member of the Moot Court Team and personally represented pro bono clients through his clinics.
