Katten's Mergers and Acquisitions team represented SMS Assist, an industry-leading facilities maintenance technology company, in its affiliation with Lessen, a premier tech-enabled, end-to-end solution for outsourced real estate property services. The transaction is notable for being the largest private-to-private PropTech M&A deal to-date.
Strengthening an already broad range of property services, the combined companies will serve a national footprint of approximately 250,000 residential and commercial properties and facilitate approximately 2.5 million repair and maintenance orders per year.
