We have watched in horror the aftermath of Hamas's vicious attack on Israel. Like so many others, the Katten community condemns the assault against Israel and Jews by Hamas terrorists. Such barbarous acts of terrorism are never justified. Katten grieves the loss of innocent lives in Israel and Gaza and prays for everyone impacted, including our friends and colleagues who are hurting deeply.
In the midst of this tragedy, it has been even more painful to see the surge in antisemitism that we are witnessing across the world and here at home. We have always been a community that values our inclusiveness and support for all religions, races and creeds, and today we are compelled to unequivocally condemn antisemitism and hate in all its forms.
As attorneys, it has always been our responsibility to act as advocates for the just treatment of all people, particularly the most vulnerable. In this critical moment we join with other responsible business leaders, including heads of law firms and law schools, in publicly denouncing antisemitism and we invite everyone to join us in our commitment to working towards a more peaceful, tolerant and inclusive society.
