Lance Zinman, global co-chair of Katten's Financial Services practice, was quoted by FundFire, a Financial Times publication, on co-investing trends for hedge funds. Lance noted that co-investments allow managers to increase their capital in a specific investment that could have too much exposure in the main fund or to raise funds for an idea separate from their flagships. However, he added, "Co-investment takes a little bit more devotion of resources from a manager." Depending on the terms set with investors, it can result in a significant amount of work.
