Health Care partner Michael Callahan will present the "Maximizing Peer Review Privilege Protection under Michigan Law and the Patient Safety Act" session at the MAMSS 39th Annual Educational Conference on Friday, May 4 at 8:15 a.m. The presentation will identify the key peer review and related privilege protections provided to hospitals and other licensed entities within a health care system under Michigan law and the federal Patient Safety Act. In particular, medical staff professions (MSPs) will be better able to understand how their day-to-day responsibilities play an important role in maximizing these protections in order to more effectively assist in the hospital's continuing efforts to improve the quality of health care services and reduce patient risk.
