Several publications, including The American Lawyer and Law360, published articles regarding the recent arrivals of Insolvency and Restructuring partners Steven Reisman, Theresa Foudy, Shaya Rochester and Cindi Giglio, as well as Corporate partner Evan Borenstein, at Katten's New York office.
Steven noted that the decision to leave his prior firm was not an easy one; however, "Each of the individuals that I met with impressed me as creative, smart, client-oriented, driven professionals. So that won me over." Theresa echoed the sentiments of her colleague, noting that they expected to fit right in at Katten. She stated, "Steven has a very dynamic personality, so just about anybody who meets him ends up falling in love with him."
In a phone interview with Bloomberg Law's Big Law Business, Steven noted the opportunity for growth at Katten, stating, "The economy is cyclical and as it softens a bit, a number of leveraged companies will need to be restructured using Chapter 11 of the Bankruptcy Code and our team will be ready."
