In a profile recognizing Corporate partner Daniel Render in its 2023 "Forty Under 40" class, the Sports Business Journal discussed Daniel's journey from Division III baseball player, Class A team mascot, Chicago White Sox ticket sales intern and ultimately to an attorney who works with clients on buying and investing in teams, naming-rights deals and other sponsorships.

"Sports owners are some of the most successful and interesting people in the business community, and you're getting to work with them in an area that they have a special level of excitement for," Daniel said about his practice. "To see how excited people are to actually do this, as opposed to it's just your next deal — it helps me with the 'it's a marathon, not a sprint' aspect of the job."

Sports Business Journal noted Daniel's work over the past two years representing the Seattle Kraken ownership group on its acquisition and launch of the expansion team, the Los Angeles Clippers on their naming-rights agreement with Intuit and the Golden State Warriors on adding a private equity-backed investor.

Based in Los Angeles-Century City, Daniel represents a range of clients in professional sports, including the National Basketball Association, National Football League, National Hockey League, Major League Soccer and Major League Baseball teams, arenas and stadiums, investors, and sponsors in their significant transactional and governance matters. He previously was recognized by Law360 on its 2022 "Rising Stars" list and by the Sports Business Journal as one of its "Power Players."

Daniel and his fellow "Forty Under 40" honorees will be recognized at a gala on October 20 at The Aria Resort & Casino in Las Vegas.
