Dallas Corporate Partner Victor Zanetti was named one of the top three deal makers in Texas last year by deal count, according to The Texas Lawbook's Corporate Deal Tracker.
The recognition is significant and an indicator of how Vic has managed to stand out among Texas attorneys for his work on major transactions. Vic — whose clients include private equity funds, family offices and venture capital growth funds — led or co-led 17 transactions last year.
The leadoff roster includes 83 attorneys who were lead or co-lead counsel on five or more deals in 2023. The top attorneys were characterized by The Texas Lawbook as "rockstars" who "led the most and most expensive mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures in 2023."
Vic represents private equity funds in acquisitions, sales and follow-on transactions across diverse industries such as manufacturing, sports, business services and health care. He also advises founders on retaining equity in sales to financial buyers and handles private investments in public equity (PIPE) transactions for both investors and companies, dealing with convertible debt, preferred stock, warrants and related investments.
