A Katten team advised General Catalyst’s Health Assurance Transformation Company (HATCo) on the technology partnerships underpinning Summa Health's technology transformation stack, including agreements with several technology partners powering Summa's new AI-enabled care stack. In October 2025, Katten counseled HATCo in the acquisition of Summa Health.
The Katten team advised on and assisted with structuring, negotiating and drafting the commercial technology, data and services agreements central to the initiative, advising on key issues such as data rights and privacy, AI/technology licensing and vendor arrangements. Healthcare Partner Anthony M. Del Rio and Healthcare Counsel Vinal Patel led the team, with support from Staff Attorney Missy Verkin and Associate Julia DeVincenzi.
