The Minority Corporate Counsel Association (MCCA) awarded Katten its "MCCA Approved Platinum Seal," for demonstrating tangible results in working to hire, train and promote diverse attorneys.
Following its review of Katten, the MCCA said it was "thrilled to learn more about the efforts made by Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP to know better, do better, and lead better to enable substantive transformation of DEI dedication in the legal profession."
This is the first year the MCCA has recognized firms as MCCA Approved, a framework for establishing sustainable diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) strategy focused on actionable solutions for law firms and corporate legal departments. Platinum is the highest ranking. The seals are based on an evaluation of firms and their commitment to DEI, which includes participation in MCCA's Diversity Scorecard, career fair attendance outside of T-14 law schools, a dedicated DEI committee and a formal recruiting strategy aimed at increasing the number of women and diverse attorneys at the firm.
