Earlier this year, Katten advised Niya Partners KP LLC (Niya) as the lead investor in a $20 million Series A financing of Kapital, a Mexican fintech company providing a platform for small- and medium-sized businesses to support their financial needs in terms of capital solutions, cash flow considerations, investments and credit facilities.
Niya, a long-standing client of Katten, is a global focused venture capital fund focusing on investing in growth-stage companies and funds. Niya invested in Kapital via direct equity investment and convertible loan notes.
The Katten team in London, led by Financial Markets and Funds partner Edward Tran and assisted by Corporate associate Omar Malek, advised Niya on all aspects of the investment.
