Partner Michael Callahan will present "The New NPDB Guidebook: What's Old and What's New?" at 2:45 p.m. on Monday, October 6. It has been 13 years since the NPDB Guidebook was issued. After a three-year internal review and public comment, the Guidebook has been updated to reflect the guidance and examples in the old version in addition to evolving practices and questions now affecting clinically integrated networks. In order to come into compliance and to maximize the immunity protections afforded under the Health Care Quality Improvement Act, an understanding of the reporting and querying requirements is essential for all medical staff professionals. This session will discuss the newly updated NPDB Guidebook and its contents.
