About Richard Nguyen-Le

Rich Nguyen-Le assists a wide range of clients, such as businesses, financial institutions, real estate developers, tax credit syndicators and other entities on domestic and international tax planning. He focuses on tax issues related to structured finance and securitizations, debt transactions, affordable housing transactions and historic tax credits, assisting clients with managing and reducing tax risks.

Passion for knowing the ins and outs of a tough body of law

Prior to joining Katten, Rich served in the United States Army as an infantry officer. He directly managed multimillion-dollar assets and more than 160 personnel, displaying his hands-on and detail-oriented personality.

During law school, Rich gained experience in the Office of Chief Counsel of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), the Tax Division of the Department of Justice, and in the information hub of a major tax preparation company.
