Katten served as legal counsel to Vi Living, the premier owner of luxury entrance fee continuing care senior living communities (CCRC's), in its sale to Des Moines, Iowa-based LCS, one of the nation's largest owners and operators in the senior living industry. The transaction, which closed in early May 2026, was among the largest CCRC sales in history, and included the sale of Vi's 10 continuing care retirement communities located across Florida, California, Arizona, Colorado, Illinois and South Carolina as well as Vi Living's operating and management company.
