Ben is a highly skilled attorney proficient in health care deals of all sizes and types, with a particular emphasis on representing physician practices and management services organizations in a multitude of medical specialties. With years of experience in the health care sector, Ben works closely with private equity firms and their portfolio companies, independent physician practices, hospitals and health systems to navigate complex transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures and strategic partnerships.

Known for his unique combination of corporate and regulatory expertise, Ben offers clients the fluency necessary to both lead a transaction and tackle thorny regulatory issues that arise along the way. Drawing on his prior experience as the General Counsel of one of the largest physician practice management companies in the specialty physician space, Ben understands firsthand the issues that truly matter to clients and brings a pragmatic and strategic approach to getting deals done.

Ben commits a significant portion of his practice to health care regulatory issues related to federal and state fraud and abuse laws as well as federal and state antitrust laws. He has robust experience working on regulatory matters pertaining to the federal Anti-Kickback Statute, Stark Law and False Claims Act. He also advises clients on issues related to the corporate practice of medicine.

In 2023, Ben was named to The Best Lawyers in America: Ones to Watch list. The St. Louis Business Journal recognized him for his in-house work in 2015 as a 30 Under 30 Award recipient. While in law school, Ben wrote for the Saint Louis University Law Journal. After graduation, he joined the Order of the Woolsack honor society.
