About Jessica L. Schauwecker

Jessica Schauwecker concentrates her practice on corporate matters. She has worked on public and private mergers and acquisitions for strategic and financial buyers in a variety of industries, including technology development and consulting, automobile auctions, industrial manufacturing and sale, food production and distribution, midstream oil and natural gas and home furnishings. Jessica has also represented some middle market companies in diverse industries across the country.

Jessica knows her clients are concerned about every phase of a transaction, and so is she. From start to finish, including post-closing and long-term items, she is there to respond to their needs. She is always looking for new ways to work around issues that are unique to a particular client, and has experience negotiating and planning for people management issues through each phase of a deal.

Prior to joining Katten, Jessica was an associate in the Private Equity, Mergers and Acquisitions practice group at another international firm in Dallas. During law school, she served as a case note and comment editor for the SMU Law Review.
