(CHICAGO) Katten announced today that 71 attorneys and 21 practice areas were named to The Legal 500 United States 2023 guide. The firm was also recognized as a "Firm To Watch" in the Advertising and Marketing: Litigation category, a distinction that recognizes new and growing practices.
Partners Chris DiAngelo, Mark R. Grossmann, Timothy J. Lynes and Bruce G. Vanyo were named to The Legal 500's "Hall of Fame" for being widely regarded as elite partners at the very top of their professions. DiAngelo was listed in the Structured Finance: Securitization practice area. Grossmann, head of Business Transactions, was included in the M&A: Middle-Market (Sub-$500 Million) category for the third year in a row. Lynes, chair of the Aviation Finance practice, was listed in the Transport: Aviation and Air Travel – Finance table. Securities Litigation practice co-head, Vanyo, was named in the Securities Litigation: Defense practice area for the second consecutive year.
Additionally, partners Christopher A. Cole, Michael J. Diver, and Allison C. Yacker were all selected for The Legal 500's elite "Leading Lawyers" list, which spotlights market leaders in the sector. Cole, chair of Katten's Advertising, Marketing and Promotions practice, was named to the Adverting and Marketing: Litigation category while Diver, a partner in Katten's Securities Litigation practice, was listed in the Securities Litigation: Defense category. Yacker, co-chair of the Investment Management and Funds practice, was recognized in the Alternative/Hedge Funds category. Additionally, associate Brett J. Seifarth was selected as a "Rising Star" for the third consecutive year for making major contributions in the Transport: Aviation and Air Travel – Finance practice area.
